Position: Greeter, Seater
Position Available: 1 Position
Hourly wage: $14.00+ plus tips.
Meals details: Participants may be eligible for some meal discounts, ranging between 25-40% depending on years of service.
Job prerequisites:
Must be 21 years of age or old.
An employer interview is required for this position. This is a multi-floor establishment and you may be required to climb stairs repeatedly during work shifts when seating guests. This is a physically demanding position. Proficient English speaking and comprehension skills are required. Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays is a must.
Job Descriptions:
Responsibilities include; greeting guests, monitoring the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and clean tables, estimating wait times for guests, managing the guest waiting list, seating them, and ensuring that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting. A positive and assertive disposition goes a long way. Responsible for answering the telephone; booking reservations; moving tables together to accommodate large parties. Host often communicates needs between managers, serving staff, bartenders, bussers and guests, while maintaining an overall understanding of who is occupying where and what has been preset. It can be a juggling act, so strong multi-tasking skills is a must. The host will also assist as a back server, food expediter and assist in cleaning duties whenever needed. Strong communication skills, strong work ethic, work well with others, foster teamwork, ability to multi-task, follow directions. Must be 21 years of age or old. Must commit to end of contract date. Employer may change position based on skill level, need of the restaurant, or to accommodate hours. Every employee assists, at times, with dishwasher shifts. It is important to be flexible.
